Chris is an adorable Shar Pei mix, 1 yr old, who was rescued from being euthanized by a local shelter, along with his litter mates at 4 months old. He weighs about 48lbs now and unfortunately he contracted a bad skin infection a few months ago which left him with some extensive scarring on his head/legs. It has cleared up now but he will have to be kept on a strict diet and Revolution (flea & heart worm prevention) for the remainder of his life to prevent it from reoccurring. His food is available through Pet Stores and Tractor Supply so it is easy to obtain and not horribly expensive.
All of our pets are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on shots prior to adoption and are socialized daily by staff and volunteers. Our pets are available once monthly on Sundays at Petco on Rte 544, in Surfside beach, from 11 AM until 2 PM.
